How To Add Your Designs

Follow these steps to add your designs to the Photoshop smart layer.

1. Double click on the thumbnail of the ‘Add Design Here’ layer (highlighted in red). This will open a new tab in Photoshop. (Depending on the mockup you may need to first expand the folders 'Notch' or 'No Notch'.

The mockups with a laptop or phone come with 2 smart layers. One is to show a notch on the screen and the other is to have no notch. You only need to add your design to one of these and just toggle on/off which one you want to show.

2. In the new tab, click File > Place Linked, select your design and click ‘Place’

3. Scale the image so it fills the blank space and once you are happy with the image position go to File and then click Save. You can then close this tab.

You will then see that your design is now placed in the correct position. To edit the image again, simply repeat the above.

Extra Options

Some of the mockups have a screen reflection option. To toggle this on/off simply click the 'eye' icon of the 'Screen Reflection' layer highlighted blue.

There is also an option to toggle on/off the notch on the phone and laptop screens. Simply toggle on the 'Add Design Here - No Notch' layer. Make sure to toggle off the other smart layer and only have one of them on at one time.

Depending on your design you may need to adjust the brightness of the screen. Simply adjust the opacity slider of the 'Add Design Here' smart layer.
