How To Add Your Designs

Follow these steps to add your designs to the Photoshop smart layers.

1. Double click on the thumbnail of the ‘Add Design Here’ layer (highlighted in red). This will open a new tab in Photoshop.

2. In the new tab, click File > Place Linked, select your design and click ‘Place’

3. Scale the image so it fills the blank space and once you are happy with the image position go to File and then click Save. You can then close this tab.

You will then see that your design is now placed in the correct position. To edit the image again, simply repeat the above.

Instagram Template

The phone and screen mockups come with an Instagram post template. To edit the template, double click on the Add Design Here layer of the phone and screen. This will open up the smart layer. Expand the folder "Instagram Template'. 

 

You can edit the username text as well as upload a logo and change the post image. The process is the same as editing any smart layer above. Simply double click on the thumbnail of the layers highlighted red and add your designs.

Extra Options

To change the background colour, simply double click the colour thumbnail of the 'Background Colour' layer. This will bring up a colour dialogue box where you can select aa colour.

Some of the mockups have a screen reflection option. To toggle this on/off simply click the 'eye' icon of the 'Screen Reflection' layer.

There is also an option to toggle on/off the notch on the screens. Simply toggle on/off the Notch layer.

Depending on your design you may need to adjust the brightness of the screen. Simply adjust the opacity slider of the smart layer.
