Error saving in Photoshop

This error has been fixed in the new Photoshop version 22.1.1. Please update.

We have been made aware that there is a potential bug with the latest Photoshop version 22.1.

If you are experiencing issues with saving a file such as 'cannot save because of a program error' please follow these steps:

1. Try resetting preferences:

Go to the Preferences > General
Click on the Reset Preferences On Quit button.
Quit Photoshop then Restart.

2. Try reverting back to an earlier version of Photoshop.

3. Please check the Adobe community forums or submit a support ticket to Adobe as this appears to be an error with Adobe Photoshop and not a file error.

If you are still unable to resolve the issue and you urgently need to save the file then we suggest to try Photopea. Photopea is a free online version of Photoshop and might help with your saving issues.
